Dr. Kieran Steer is a dual-specialist physician certified in Canada in both Occupational Medicine as well as Public Health and Preventive Medicine. His primary practice location is Calgary, Alberta, and he is licensed for virtual/remote practice anywhere in Alberta or British Columbia.
He is a currently practicing physician with professional Public Health work experience with provincial government, along with Occupational Medicine work experience for provincial government, Workers’ Compensation Boards, industry, and third party medical provider groups. He also holds an academic appointment at the University of Alberta in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry as a clinical lecturer.
Dr. Steer offers the following services:
- Evaluations of exposures and health outcomes related to workplace and environmental hazards
- Physician services for medical monitoring programs, including audiogram, silica, asbestos, heavy metals, and other hazards
- Support with case management services for medical workplace accommodations, fitness for work, and return to work
- Development and quality improvement for policies and program related to occupational health or preventive medicine programs
